Last updated: 2026-10-17
Overview
Shotokay respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512. Shotokay provides storage and sharing tools for content uploaded by users; we do not review user content in advance.
Designated Copyright Agent
Send infringement notices and counter-notices to our designated agent:
- Email: support@okayok.ai
- Service provider: Superly, LLC
- Agent name: Copyright Agent
- Postal address: 131 Continental Dr, Suite 305, Newark, DE 19713, USA
Filing an Infringement Notice
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), your notice must include:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed (or a representative list if multiple works are covered).
- Identification of the infringing material and information reasonably sufficient for us to locate it, such as the URL, share link, or account and file name.
- Your contact information: name, postal address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
Notices missing these elements may not be actionable. Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing may make you liable for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
Our Response
We acknowledge valid notices promptly and remove or disable access to the identified material within 7 business days of receiving a complete notice. We notify the user who uploaded the material and forward a copy of the notice (with your personal contact details redacted where appropriate).
Counter-Notice
If you believe material you uploaded was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to our agent under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3) that includes:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed and where it appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the U.S. federal district court for your address (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which Shotokay may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice or their agent.
We forward valid counter-notices to the original complainant. Unless the complainant notifies us that they have filed a court action seeking to restrain the user, we will restore the material within 10 to 14 business days after receiving the counter-notice.
Repeat Infringers
We terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers. An account that receives multiple valid infringement notices that are not successfully countered may be suspended or permanently terminated, and the user may be barred from creating new accounts.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows the latest revision.
